The rack was well packed and protected during shipping. Instructions were simple to follow and had a ton of hardware which is great in case you strip a hex head. Installation was easy, but you may need a hand just to tighten the roof mounting bolts. Drove down to Northern California via the Oregon Coast and back with no issues. Typically I use the rack to strap down a softshell carrier that stores most of the soft goods for camping, canoe or SUP. Frees up a ton of space in the back. The rack is surprisingly quiet. If you hear vibration or whistling then it will require proper adjustment. Very likely to purchase a second rack for my work vehicle when it gets replaced. Have recommended Victory 4x4 to others looking for similar products. Installation Notes: -If your RAV doesn't have stock roof rails, you will be drilling these yourself. Disconnect the battery. -Remove headliner and locate ten 1/16" strips of metal that also have about an 1/2" opening to the metal channel above in the locations where the mounting hardware will be. -Spring Loaded Center Punch from inside the vehicle to the center of the holes that are to be drilled. Protect any Airbag/Wiring near where you will be drilling. Drill up from inside with a pilot bit. Then drill down from above, only slightly wider than the mounting hardware. The rear two mounting bolts will be smaller sized. -RTV Silicon the hell out of the new openings, bottom of hardware, around and above the hardware. -For the front faring, be sure to fully press on the rubber protector, and trim the excess. Recommend adding clear 3M paint protection film where the faring will contact the roof as added protection from debris. Optional 2" strip under the rear support by the rear door hinges, as a just in case when loading/unloading gear. Last Tip: Test drive for final adjustment revealed vibrations of the wind deflector faring starting at about 30mph. This was due to the rack being first adjusted to a centered vertical position, and the front faring rubber was not making sufficient contact to eliminate vibration. Easily remedied by loosening the side mounting bolts, letting the rack frame sink down in the mounts and re-tightening. </div> <div class="tgreivews-breaker"></div> </div> <div class="tgreivews-breaker"></div> <div class="tgreviews-review" itemprop="review" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Review"> <div class="tgreviews-rating-title"> <span class="tgreviews-review__title" itemprop="name">1 year and holding up!</span> <div class="tgreviews-review__rating-info" itemprop="reviewRating" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Rating"> <span class="tgreviews-rating-stars">★</span> <span class="tgreviews-rating-stars">★</span> <span class="tgreviews-rating-stars">★</span> <span class="tgreviews-rating-stars">★</span> <span class="tgreviews-rating-stars">★</span> <meta itemprop="worstRating" content="1"> <meta itemprop="ratingValue" content="4.12"> <meta itemprop="bestRating" content="5"> </div> </div> <div class="tgreviews-review__user"> <span itemprop="author">Martin</span> (Oregon) | April 27th, 2022 </div> <div class="tgreviews-review__summary" itemprop="description"> Purchased this rack for my wife’s RAV4 build beginning of summer 2021 and it’s just about hitting the 1 year mark and we are still extremely happy with it! Like the XLE? A 01/04/2021, 10:42:49 AM Yes, you will have the same mounting locations under the flush roof rails. The rack is not designed to work with the panoramic sunroof, however. Q Rylee • 02/12/2021, 9:45:42 AM Will the set up be the same as in the video for 2021 Rav4? A 02/15/2021, 12:52:47 PM Yes Q Jack • 03/07/2021, 3:01:40 AM What exactly makes this rack not compatible with the panoramic sunroof models? A 03/08/2021, 1:18:58 PM The roof structure is different. Q Jose • 04/09/2021, 4:36:31 PM Are you guys planning any modification for this to work with the panoramic roof?? Thanks!! A 04/12/2021, 1:13:17 PM We are not. Q Matt • 04/21/2021, 2:45:22 PM I wasn’t talking about the weight. My question was about the dimensions. How many inches above the car will the rack go? A 04/28/2021, 5:50:35 PM Roughly 2.5" to 3" above your roof in the center. Q Luis • 07/11/2021, 10:04:10 PM Will this rack work with the rav4 prime? A 07/23/2021, 10:58:16 AM As long as it doesn't have the pano sunroof, we don't see any differences in the roof. But we haven't done an install on the Prime in our shop to verify. Q Douglas • 08/05/2021, 10:04:32 AM Does this require drilling? A 08/12/2021, 4:01:01 PM No drilling required Q Kyle • 08/18/2021, 6:17:45 PM Will this fit on a 2010 rav4? A 09/02/2021, 12:29:40 PM No Q KG • 08/19/2021, 11:26:29 AM Does this rack work without Toyota factory-installed crossbars? Or is the rack designed to work in combination with the standard Toyota crossbars? A 09/02/2021, 12:29:40 PM It doesn't require the factory rack to have been installed on the vehicle, nor will it work with the factory rack installed. Q Adam • 08/20/2021, 2:43:29 PM Why isn't the front and rear fairing cut to clear the roof rather than use several methods of paint protection? A 09/02/2021, 3:39:52 PM Because the fairings will vibrate and make noise under wind load. Q JT • 09/01/2021, 1:03:24 AM Will this work on a 2011 Rav4? A 09/02/2021, 3:54:08 PM No Q Jordan Pope • 11/26/2021, 0:24:56 AM Does this rack require dropping the headliner on the RAV4? Looking for a simple bolt on install. A 12/01/2021, 9:51:56 AM There is no drilling, but dropping the headliner is required because there are no threaded mounting locations from the factory. The factory rails mount with bolts and nuts underneath the headliner. Q Mike • 02/12/2022, 5:15:39 PM What are the dimensions of the Rav 4 roof rack? A 04/22/2022, 2:27:34 PM Send us an email at [email protected] Q Matt • 04/19/2022, 11:02:08 AM Sorry if this has been asked elsewhere: for the light bar cut out version of the front fairing is it compatible with Diode Dynamics 42 inch light bar. Found here https://www.diodedynamics.com/stage-series-42-white-light-bar.html They also show additional dimensions in there installation document: http://images.diodedynamics.com/docs/install/universal/stage_series/Stage_Series_42_inch_installation_guide_2B.pdf Based on these it appears the housing of the light is 43 inches exactly, will this require modifications to the fairing? A 04/25/2022, 3:01:50 PM The cutout is designed for a max 41.25" housing and the max stud mounting width is 43.5". The fairing cutout would need to be made larger, but the bar would likely be too wide to mount on the light bar mounts. Q Russell Delgado • 06/16/2022, 7:29:47 PM Will this rack work on models without factory rails installed? A 06/22/2022, 2:01:57 PM It doesn't require the factory rack to have been installed on the vehicle. A 06/24/2022, 10:10:24 AM You could use J-style kayak mounts (be sure they will work for a 1"x2" crossbar) or you could just lay the kayak upside down directly on the rack and strap it down. Q owen • 07/11/2022, 9:27:04 PM This will fit a 2022 hybrid XLE correct? Also these roof rack gets mounted into the factory roof rails correct? I don't have to mount it into the actual roof with drilling holes correct? A 07/12/2022, 1:06:02 PM It will. It mounts to the mounting locations used by the factory roof rails. There is no drilling required but does require dropping the headliner to remove them and use the factory mounting locations. Checkout the install video toward the bottom of the page for more info. Notify me when my review is approved Sort By Default Most Recent Reviews Least Recent Reviews Highest To Lowest Rating Lowest To Highest Rating Verified Buyer Great Rack ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Chris (British Columbia) | March 9th, 2025 2022 Toyota Rav4 LE Ordered this rack about 1 year ago for our base model, as the roof rack dealer option was removed starting from that year's LE trim. 1 year and holding up! ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Martin (Oregon) | April 27th, 2022 Purchased this rack for my wife’s RAV4 build beginning of summer 2021 and it’s just about hitting the 1 year mark and we are still extremely happy with it! Again not a huge deal bc Prinsu doesn't even give you any Would still recommend this rack Ok ★ ★ ★ Ivan (Texas) | July 13th, 2022 It looks good but I would not go this way if I ever purchase a roof rack again the instructions are useless and the bolts are all thrown in an old plastic bag unlabeled and there is no exact amount of each bolt so you can’t figure it out by laying it out. You can’t fit a carriage bolt you will never mount anything on top that needs carriage bolt the channel is to small for any. Note From Victory 4x4: We use the same hardware for many racks, but we do put the exact hardware used on each model in the installation documents for the product. Sorry for the confusion. Missing assembly hardwares/sent short ★ Mohammad (California) | December 18th, 2021 Received the rack had few minor scratches didn’t care about it and it was missing bolt, the rubber plugs, and nuts. Emailed over 5 days ago no respond. The rack is alright not as advertised one side was off a little and the bolt holes for the front mount wasn’t matching the bolt. The only reason I’m putting is one star is missing assembly hardwares and no respond. Note From Victory 4x4: Mohammad, sorry for the delay in response. We are experiencing a larger than usual volume of messages due to Black Friday and the holiday season. We apologize for the missing hardware and our customer service team will get with you as soon as possible with a resolution. FAQ
